Small wedding FAQs.
Can we hold the ceremony at Putnam?
Yes. The room handles ceremonies from 30 guests up to 200 seated. We’ve hosted everything from a five-minute civil ceremony with immediate family to a full processional with aisle, arch, and string quartet.
Do you have a bridal suite or getting-ready space?
Yes — we have a private space backstage for the bridal party to get ready, change, store gifts, and stay out of sight before the ceremony. Mirrors, seating, and outlets for hair and makeup tools.
Can we set up for the ceremony and reception in the same room?
Yes — and most small weddings here do. Ceremony setup runs at 4pm, cocktail hour moves to the patio (when seasonal) or the front of the room, and our team flips the main floor to reception layout in roughly 45 minutes while your guests have a drink.
Are there vendor restrictions?
Minimal. Bring your own photographer, florist, DJ, officiant, baker, and most caterers. We have a partner caterer list if you’d rather not source from scratch.
How does alcohol service work for weddings with under-21 guests?
We handle it the way every responsible Saratoga venue does: alcohol service is bartender-managed with ID checks at the bar. Under-21 guests are welcome at the wedding; they just can’t be served alcohol.
When is The Patio at Putnam open?
The patio is seasonal — typically May through October, weather permitting. Summer weddings love it for cocktail hour and family photos.
