What’s a typical engagement party guest count?
Most engagement parties at Putnam run 50 to 150 guests — friends, immediate family, and the inner circle. The room scales easily down to 30 (concentrated in one half) or up to the full 400 if both families want to invite everyone.
Can we do a surprise entrance for the couple?
Yes — we’ve staged dozens of these. Hidden entrances, pre-set lighting cues, and a stage you can use as the reveal point. Tell us the moment you’re imagining and we’ll plan the choreography with you.
Can the bride or groom change at the venue?
Yes. We have a private space backstage for outfit changes, getting-ready photos, or just hiding from the room before the big moment.
Do you handle cake or dessert service?
Yes. Cake plates, forks, cutting setup, and a dessert table can all be coordinated — we’ll work with your bakery on delivery time. Most couples bring in a cake from a local Saratoga bakery; we’ll send recommendations if you don’t have one.
Can we have a slideshow or video tribute?
Yes. HD projector, dual screens, and a confidence monitor on the stage. Send us the file format ahead of time and we’ll test it before guests arrive.
When is The Patio at Putnam open?
The patio is seasonal — typically May through October, weather permitting. When it’s open, it’s a great spot for cocktail hour and family photos before the indoor reveal.
