Every Thursday this Summer, Putnam Place becomes the Capital Region’s home base for Pokémon and Magic: The Gathering. Packs and Pints is a laid-back weekly gathering built to bring players, collectors, and enthusiasts together — whether you’re a seasoned trader, a casual collector, or cracking your very first booster. All skill levels welcome, all year long. No pressure, just good company and great cards.
It’s more than a meetup. Each week brings live gameshows with chances to win free packs, trading and battling booths, group pack-opening experiences, and a rotating lineup of vendors on hand to buy, sell, and trade. Pull up a seat, crack some packs, find your next trade — and grab a pint while you’re at it.
Bring the family early: kids under 18 are welcome with a parent or legal adult guardian until 8 PM, after which it’s 18-and-over only. Must be 21+ to drink, of course.
