Australian Producer Jaytech has been perfecting his craft for most of his life. James Cayzer (better known as Jaytech, or Jimbo to his friends) was 16 when he first experienced electronic music at a university rave party in Canberra, his hometown. Immediately inspired by what he heard, Jaytech began creating music using a simple computer set-up and his parents’ hi-fi speakers. His first worldwide vinyl release, “Music 101,” was played by DJs around the world, and ultimately BBC’s Radio 1.

Today, nearly two decades later, Jaytech continues to inspire fans and contemporaries alike. Currently working on his fourth artist album, Jaytech is traveling the USA to seek inspiration and further develop his signature sound, while continuing to DJ in select cities allowing him to connect with his fans.

Jaytech’s musical empire reaches far beyond his accolades as a DJ and artist. Positronic, Jaytech’s first label and home to his third artist album “Awakening,” is a platform to promote up-and-coming artists and break them into the scene. Each month, tens of thousands of fans around the world listen to Jaytech’s long-standing radio show and podcast, one of the first ever mix show podcasts of its kind, and his “Studio Talk” podcast is a platform where Jaytech interviews his contemporaries in the online music scene.

As he continues to expand his music empire, Jaytech helps producers break new ground with their music through his work as a studio engineer. With a new label in the works, Jaytech will also soon be taking the electronic music world by storm once again, as he continues to inspire the world through trance and progressive house.

For Adam Stark, “trance family” is much bigger than a buzzword. He’s emerged as the genre’s poster boy in the Colorado nightlife scene and made a name for himself elsewhere along the way.

Whether behind the decks or curating an event, Stark’s ability to unite trance enthusiasts has made an undeniable impact. If you’ve seen him perform then you know it’s justified. He’s remarked that there’s no greater measure of success than how able one is to help others succeed, but his DJ skills give him all the credentials he needs.

A DJ’s DJ who holds true turntablism in high regard, his showmanship sends ripples through the wall-to-wall crowds at his performances. No matter the event, he sees every single set as an opportunity to connect with his audience emotionally. Adam Stark plays music for the person in the crowd who absolutely needs it, because he knows firsthand how much of an impact that it can have.

Every city’s trance scene ought to have an Adam Stark – and even as he becomes a bigger player on the global stage, his love for Denver will remain. If your finger’s on the pulse, chances are you’ll see him perform in a city near you in the years to come.

The founding members of groop.lab, Denada and Choddy, wanted to regularly experience something that was not being offered in the Capital Region, a rich and full electronic music dance scene, with eclectic music and eccentric people. In 2018, after the pair took many overnight road trips to New York City and back, (plus a trip abroad to the United Kingdom, Italy, Spain, and the Netherlands) to experience the music scene they longed for, they decided to begin honing their own skills mixing music. What they had seen and learned and felt in those places inspired how they would throw their own events in their basement in Albany. When the pandemic stopped the party, groop.lab took the opportunity to practice and perfect what they were looking to build. With the inclusion of third member Ritual Jewel, (who is now based in California and is currently working on producing his own tracks) the officially formed collective took the opportunity at the opening up of pandemic restrictions to get themselves out into the community and debuted as groop.lab in Troy on June 26th 2021. The name honors the atmosphere of the aforementioned basement being akin to a laboratory where musical experimentation took precedent and the “group groove” was found. Having built a reputation for themselves as party starters and community minded artists has not taken long. With the inclusion of newest member Less Said, groop.lab is currently as always, searching for the best music and advancing their live video graphic visuals as an integral part of their performances.
