Guitarist Michael-Louis Smith radiates positivity and brings amazing musicians and music-lovers together under the same beat. On June 4th, Michael-Louis Smith will launch a CD release show at DROM in NYC for his upcoming album First Black Nation, which will drop on iTunes and Amazon a week earlier on May 28th. The concept album is a multi-movement instrumental that tells a story about the 2010 Haiti Earthquake. Michael will also tour this summer to support the album and also mark his 10-year anniversary with bandmates Diallo House (bass), Ismail Lawal (drums), and Stacy Dillard (sax). These longtime friends will treat crowds to international styles, telepathic improvisation, and high energy music.

Shiri Zorn & George Muscatello

International vocalist, Shiri Zorn, who has been musically trained in Israel, Europe and the United States,
has been working in the capital region for the past 5 years with some of the area’s most influential
musicians. Her voice is often referred to as another instrument in the group and her elegant delivery
makes for a complete vocal experience for the listener.

Exceedingly talented guitarist George Muscatello, who is a Manhattan School of music alumni, has been
an adjunct lecturer at Skidmore College for the past 11 years and has hosted master classes at the
college with jazz musicians who are in the forefront of today’s jazz world: Kurt Rosenwinkle, Julian Lage,
Eric Harland, Chris Potter and Robert Glasper. Muscatello, who has been an active performer for 25
years and has played/worked alongside world renowned musicians such as Nick Brignola, Wayne Krantz
and Adam Rogers, has an extraordinary ability to tell the story of a song through his guitar playing and
his improvisation skills.
