The Ky McClinton Band tastefully merges their inspirations in blues rock and RnB/Soul, molding influences from the likes of John Mayer and Jimmy Hendrix with soulful artists like Michael Kiwanuka and Goose. Bandleader and Listen Up Award Nominee, Ky McClinton, along with longtime friends Isaiah Thomas and Joseph Pouliott, are based in the capital region and – as a six piece band – had the privilege of working with touring artists The MJT Soul Rockers and Catskill’s Sister Sparrow and the Dirty birds, performing for local hotspots like Kris Mid City Tavern and nationally recognized venues like Ophelia’s on Broadway and The Palace Theater. They’ve worked closely with local legend Gregory Bell throughout the upstate New York region, and Western Massachusetts. The blend of R&B – soul and blues rock demonstrates integrated popular favorites, and engaging originals. Their setlist is elaborately crafted to bring life to any space but also leave room for improvisation, maintaining spontaneity and allowing adjustments for any room, for any audience.
