SUMMARY:The Wheel: Live Dead & Beyond
DESCRIPTION:Doors: 8:00pm\nShow: 9:00pm \nAges: 21+ \nTickets: $15 Advance / $20 Day of Show \n** The online presale period for this show has ended. Tickets will be available at the door. \n  \nBuckle up\, put it in gear\, and enjoy the ride with NY Capital Region’s authentic sounding Grateful Dead tribute band\, The Wheel as they put their driving spin on the music you love and enjoy. \n“The Wheel brings a big\, danceable groove to the party\, driven by the deep pocket of rhythm guitarist and bandleader Andy Morse\, bassist Dave Pallas\, drummer Bob McKeon and percussionist Pete Andriakos. They provide an unshakable foundation over which lead guitarist Bryan Gautie and keyboardist Kenny Schneidman weave solo after evocative solo together with virtuosity and taste.  Yet they are also capable of complex\, interwoven conversations that display the nuance and dynamic range of the Dead’s music in quieter\, more blissful passages. Vocally\, The Wheel possesses a diverse blend of styles\, from Morse’s smooth\, heartfelt delivery\, Schneidman’s full-throated soul\, and Bryan Gautie’s Jerry Garcia-like tenderness.” – Nippertown \nAndy Morse: (Rhythm guitar and vocals) With a deep love calling Andy to explore the musical roots of GD music\, Andy formed The Wheel originally as an acoustic duo in 2010 along with Dave Pallas. To many a family Andy is also known as Andy “The Music Man” (www.andysings.com) specializing in music for children full time since 1995. Andy studied under Mathew Smith currently of Six String Ranch in Austin TX. Andy has played with Rainbow Full of Sound\, Duck Duck Goose\, and Fearsome Critters. \nBob McKeon (Drums) Bob’s lifelong fascination with music\, and in particular drumming\, began as a child playing his dad’s Ringo-inspired 1960s Ludwig drum set\, which has been part of his life ever since.  Bob has been supporting many talented musicians and bands in the Capital Region and beyond ever since\, including Unclaimed Freight\, High Peaks Band\, and The Brokedown.  Since 2012\, Bob has intermittently supported The Garcia Project\, touring the northeast United States and southern California\, where he has shared the stage with Jerry Garcia Band members Melvin Seals\, Maria Muldaur\, and Jaclyn LaBranch. You can still catch Bob sitting-in with a variety of acts throughout the Capital Region. \nBryan Gautie: (Lead guitar and vocals) Bryan joined The Wheel in the summer of 2015 adding his dead on 70’s style of Jerry leads driving the band down the road to colorful destinations. Bryan unknowingly followed a similar path of Jerry\, studying bluegrass and then eventually discovering the music of the Grateful Dead. Gratefully he still has all ten fingers. Bryan has played in Ice Nine\, Yukon Cornelius and Slipknot. \nDr. Dave Pallas: (5 string bass) The Dr. is in session! When you’re not sitting on the couch in front of him you’ll find him supporting the back bone of the beat while adventuring into uncharted waters. No life raft needed. Dave has played in many bands over the years\, Duck Duck Goose\, The Swing Docs\, Missing Link. Andy and Dave have been jamming together on a consistent basis since 1985\, life long musical friends. \nKenny Schneidman (keys\, vox\, graphic art) is an artist and musician living in Woodstock\, NY. His musical roots trace back to his child hood\, beginning with traditional classical piano lessons at the tender age of 8. Kenny played in numerous bands with silly names likes Devil’s Chamber\, Mark Twang\, and Stone Deaf\, as well as one of the earliest Grateful Dead cover bands on the planet\, the Lost Highway Ramblers\, from 1977-1981\, with occasional reunions when the opportunity arises. He currently handles the keyboards and vocal duties with the Misty Mountain Ramblers\, a Woodstock based band of seasoned musicians. He often sits in with other bands throughout the region. \nDr. Pete Andriakos (percussion) When you’re not on “Dr. Sleep’s” surgery table you’ll find him adding many beautiful colors and rhythmic patterns to complete the canvas of The Wheel’s rhythmic section. Pete also plays in the Nolanauts. \nWebsite: www.thewheelband.com \n  \n \n  \nReturn to Calendar \n

SUMMARY:A Little Overboard\, VinTri Hill\, Sons of Eden and Seize Atlantis
DESCRIPTION:Doors: 6:00pm\nShow: 6:30pm \nAges: 21+ \nTickets: $15 Advance / $20 Day of Show \n** Click Here to Purchase Tickets ** \n  \nA Little Overboard teams up with VinTri Hill\, Sons of Eden and Seize Atlantis for a rockin’ night at Putnam Place. \n  \n \nA Little Overboard is a 5 piece all original Pop-Rock band from Saratoga Springs NY. The band was established in 2022. Our debut album ‘Lies Of Lovers’ was released in January 2024. \nWebsite: www.alittleoverboardofficial.com \n  \n \n  \n  \n \nVinTri Hill (vin-tree hill) began in 2019 as a small-school cover band that was halted due to Covid lockdowns. During that time Vincenzo Baldwin performed a daily Facebook concert series and was recognized by local media (article) for his dedication to giving something for people to look forward to. With remote learning and quarantines in full swing\, Baldwin went on to write more than 80 original songs with a vision to shift the band to a unique Punk Rock driving force. With Dimitri Cerrone on board and laying down rhythmic and furious drum tracks\, the duo got back together and forged ahead with a passion and goal to revive the sound of early 90’s punk. In November 2024\, life-long friend and talented musician\, Tyler Munson\, joined the band\, making VinTri Hill a 3 piece\, and helping round out their vision and sound. \nWebsite: www.vintrihill.com \n  \n \n  \n  \n \nRock\, metal\, grunge\, alternative; Sons of Eden has heard all of these as perceptions of their genre. The truth is they’re not concerned with fitting into any of these boxes\, they write music that they feel passionate about and that moves them. Sons of Eden\, from Albany New York\, looks to innovate and develop a signature sound unlike what’s been done and heard before. Their latest single\, Swallowed Whole\, snakes through grinding riffage\, sludgy choruses\, and a levitating guitar solo\, and with each release they plan to continue to challenge the boundaries of these genres. \nWebsite: www.sonsofeden.bandzoogle.com \n  \n \n  \n  \n \nFormed in 2019 out of Glens Falls in Upstate New York\, Seize Atlantis is an energetic four-piece rock band consisting of front-man James Mullen (lead vocals/guitar)\, Luc Bourgault (lead guitar)\, Chris Walker (bass guitar) and Cody Platt (drums). Seize Atlantis has a unique and tight sound fueled by a driving & punchy drum/bass duo\, melodic lead guitar\, and strong\, moody vocals with meaningful lyrics that bring a truly dynamic range of soft to heavy rock. Their influences are from bands such as Foo Fighters\, Red Hot Chili Peppers\, Pearl Jam\, along with 90s-00s Rock. The band offers their own spin on a variety of covers from classic rock to modern pop in addition to their own original music. They’ve recently taken home some hardware winning two 2023 Capital District Digital ListenUp Awards (Rock/Hard Rock & Progressive Rock)\, the 2023 NYS Music March Madness title\, and a nomination for the 2024 Eddies Awards (Capital Region Music Awards) for Rock/Pop Artist of the year. \nWebsite: www.seizeatlantis.bandcamp.com \n  \n \n  \nReturn to Calendar \n

SUMMARY:The Boombox Series: Harry Romero w/ Prophet\, EV Turner\, Skyway Collective
DESCRIPTION:Doors: 10:00pm \nAges: 21+ \nTickets: $10 Early Bird / $15 Advance / $20 Day of show \n** Click Here to Purchase Tickets ** \n  \nThe Boombox Series returns to Putnam Place\, featuring another performance by some of the world’s top artists alongside the area’s beloved local talent. Anticipate an evening filled with foot-stomping rhythms and mesmerizing visuals. Dive into a rave community dedicated to the core values of our culture: Peace\, Love\, Unity\, and Respect! \n  \n \n“To make it in 2024\, you must be original! Get back to songwriting! And make something that will last more than 5 days. Otherwise we are just painting by numbers and that’s boring.” \nIn the beginning\, Jack had a groove. And thanks to heavyweight house heroes like Harry Romero\, that groove is now back. “My love of house came from the culture\,” explains Jersey’s finest from his studio headquarters in The Butchashop. Harry\, in case you missed the musical memo\, is a house music legend with classic club cuts like ‘Tania’\, ‘Night @ The Black’ and ‘I Go Back’ with Robert Owens under his belt\, but really that’s just the tip of the iceberg as his current catalogue will attest. Harry’s 2021 saw releases and remixes on labels from Crosstown Rebels to Hot Creations and Classic Recordings\, and 2022 and 2023 saw him release on Defected for the first time since the mighty ‘Revolution’. 2024\, meanwhile\, will see him follow up his ’23 summer smash ‘Fool For Love’ with a second release on Chris Lake’s Black Book imprint. He’s also signed a multi-single deal with Defected. \nSee\, from then to now\, Harry represents one thing: and that’s pure quality. His inspirations growing up tell the same story. From the mid to late 80s he listened to Tony Humphreys on the radio and followed Todd\, Masters At Work and Fingers Inc. So\, with the full backing of Defected and Classic\, it’s now Harry’s time to shine all over again. He’s released the Kölsch/Pete Tong approved (not to mention the Beatport-trouncing\, Afro-House number one) ‘Afro Horn’ on Crosstown Rebels\, as well as remixes of ‘Tania’ from Honey Dijon and remixes of his own for Jack Back and CeCe Rogers and Danny Tenaglia. Friends for (club) life\, his Danny Tenaglia association with ‘Don’t Turn Your Back’ on Hot Creations was a major success: he also found time to chat to Honey Dijon to discuss their incredible respective careers in house and released on Cecille with ‘Mood Vision’\, a singular and super-distinctive house instrumental that was supported by Honey Dijon and Luciano alike and was another Beatport success. With the epic and spiritual sequel to ‘Afro Horn’\, ‘It’s You’ having now dropped as well as ‘It Hurts’ on Crosstown\, the more eagle-eyed among you will have noticed his name on Honey Dijon’s new artist album. In short\, he has become the go-to remixer for house remixes once again and there’s plenty more ahead. \nSo what’s his ethos now? Simple! To wave his own flag and in 2023 he scored another major hit with ‘Fool For Love’ which was a bona fide smash on radio and and on streaming platforms and featured vocals from UK songstress Leo Wood: the track was called ‘Fool For Love.’ They even found time to perform the song together in Barcelona. It was a moment. \n“I know what I’m capable of in the studio and behind the decks. Harry 2.0\, this is my renaissance! “ He’s had a career that now runs across two decades but also recognizes that “this is a rebirth\, not a remix.” It’s also about reaching a new generation with a catalogue that speaks for itself. “’Tania’ is still being played by Loco Dice and Luciano. It’s not easy to do something with ‘Tania’\, he notes. “Obviously\, what Honey Dijon handed in was unbelievable. She knows the original from Danny Tenaglia playing it in the city and she made it harder and tougher while also being something standing on its own.” Make no mistake\, 2021 and 2022 may be a crazy world but we’ve now come out of the dark and Harry’s has steered his way through with skill and dexterity. Releasing the House Masters comp with Defected\, then\, was the cherry on the proverbial cake. With a slew of releases to come on Defected and DFTD this year\, not to mention the follow-up to ‘Fool For Love’ on Black Book – which we can reveal is called ‘Play Some Rave For Me’\, the colour of the future couldn’t look less painting by numbers for Harry: and thank goodness for that. \nWebsite: www.facebook.com/harryromero \n  \n \nHailing from Saratoga Springs\, New York\, Prophet has carved out a remarkable 17-year career in the Northeast’s electronic music scene\, marked by his exceptional skill and unwavering dedication to his craft. \nThroughout his illustrious career\, DJ Prophet has shared stages with electronic music icons\, including A-Track\, Avicci\, Steve Aoki\, The Chainsmokers\, and Tiesto\, showcasing his prowess and versitality within the scene. A defining moment in his career occurred when Diplo featured Prophet’s remix of Rufus Du Sol’s acclaimed track “Innerbloom” in his sets at major events like Lollapalooza in Chicago and New York Fashion Week. Diplo also highlighted Prophet’s remix of Kayne West’s “Carnival” on the 300th episode of Records on Records on Diplo’s Revolution on SiruisXM\, further marking a significant milestone in his career. \nProphet’s remix of “Carnival” recently reached the #1 position on BPM Supreme’s Top 50 Dance Tracks of the week in April 2024\, marking his first track to trend at the top in online DJ record pools. Additionally\, his remix of Above & Beyond’s iconic track “Sun & Moon” has been supported by internationally recognized DJs such has Vintage Culture\, DJs from Mars and Mark & Kremont\, continuing to affirm his influence in the electronic music scene. \nWebsite: www.facebook.com/djprophet \n  \nReturn to Calendar

SUMMARY:Dead Man's Waltz
DESCRIPTION:Doors: 7:00pm\nShow: 7:30pm \nAges: 18+ \nTickets: $17 Advance / $20 Day of Show \n** Click Here to Purchase Tickets ** \n  \nInterweaving the classic songs and jams of The Grateful Dead\, The Allman Brothers Band and The Band\, Dead Man’s Waltz is an all-star collective from the Northeast festival scene. Dead Man’s Waltz features top-notch musicianship and offers a refreshing twist to the music of three legendary and iconic bands. While staying true to the spirit of the music\, the band members put their own dynamic spin on a vast catalog of beloved songs that are now part of the new American song book. \nAt its core\, DMW is a celebration of the long standing tradition of crossover between The Dead\, The Allmans and The Band\, culminating with the legendary 1973 Summer Jam Music Festival in Watkin’s Glenn\, NY where the three bands performed together. DMW’s arrangements are experiments\, as they easily flow from the familiar to the obscure\, moving from standards like “Jessica” into “Going Down The Road Feeling Bad” into “Don’t Do It” or “Up On Cripple Creek” into “They Love Each Other” into “Midnight Rider”. The band always keeps it fresh with new and unexpected arrangements and improvisations\, while engaging fans in the free-spirited party and colorful\, close-knit community surrounding their shows. \nWith 2 drummers\, DMW’s line-up mirrors those of both The Dead and The Allmans as well as later line-ups of The Band. Dead Man’s Waltz features the all-star lineup of “Rev” Tor Krautter on guitar and vocals\, Tom Major on drums\, Parker McQueeney on keys and vocals\, Wesley Childers on guitar and vocals\, Jeff Prescott on drums and vocals\, and Brian O’Connell on bass and vocals. Each hail from a unique musical background and adds their own personal style\, influence and character to the mix (which is exactly what the music calls for). \nWebsite: www.deadmanswaltz.com \n  \n \n  \nReturn to Calendar \n

SUMMARY:Wild Adriatic w/ Reese Fulmer & The Carriage House Band
DESCRIPTION:Doors: 7:30pm\nShow: 8:30pm \nAges: 18+ \nTickets: $20 Advance / $25 Day of Show \n** Click Here to Purchase Tickets ** \n  \nWild Adriatic is back in action and releasing their long-awaited follow-up album to 2017’s Feel. Six years in the making\, the new self-titled album encompasses songs written and recorded together in a studio apartment in Lake George\, NY. After a pandemic and a band hiatus\, the tracks have new life breathed into them and the band is excited to finally have new music out in the world once again. Self Titled finds the band firmly back in the saddle\, weaving rock\, soul & blues into the trademark sound of one of Upstate New York’s most beloved rock n’ roll exports. The group celebrates the release of their third full length studio album on Friday April 18th at their hometown venue Putnam Place in Saratoga Springs NY. \nWebsite: www.wildadriatic.band \n  \n \n  \n  \n \nReese Fulmer & The Carriage House Band are an indie-folk/americana ensemble that doesn’t get caught up in how things are supposed to be done. Working mostly with expansive live albums\, a mailing list and word of mouth\, Reese and his band have become one of the fastest-rising groups in upstate NY by cutting their own path. With a rotating cast of top players\, a broad and dynamic body of work\, and a refusal to set anything in stone\, their shows are always fresh\, full of joy\, and hard to describe. Think Wilco with hints of Prine and Zappa. \nWebsite: www.reesefulmer.com \n  \n \n  \nReturn to Calendar
