SUMMARY:Michael Jerling & GNP (Caffe Lena Sing in the Streets)
DESCRIPTION:Doors: 1:00pm\nShow: 1:30pm \nAges: 18+ \nTickets: FREE SHOW! \n  \nSing in the Streets is Caffè Lena’s free community music festival in downtown Saratoga Springs\, bringing together 23 performers across 10 stages for a day of live music\, discovery\, and community. Join us on Sunday\, May 17\, 2026 for performances by Michael Jerling and GNP\, and check out lots of other great music throughout downtown in a festive\, walkable setting. \n  \n \nMichael Jerling has been writing\, recording and performing his own songs for over fifty years. His baritone voice is backed up with consummate skill on six and twelve string guitars\, harmonica and mandolin\, all buoyed by his dry sense of humor. He displays a first-rate lyrical sense and impressive musicianship\, borrowing from blues\, rock\, country and R&B. A keen student of the good and ghastly in American life\, Michael weaves themes like a novelist\, evoking our shortcomings and dreams without yielding to cynicism or sentimentality. Often praised as a “songwriter’s songwriter\,” he’s been characterized as an artist who performs his “extraordinary songs with the uncommon ability to deliver them to an audience with power and grace.” \nBorn and raised in Illinois\, songwriter Michael Jerling became involved with music while helping to run the campus coffeehouse at the University of Wisconsin – Eau Claire. Now settled in Saratoga Springs\, New York\, Michael has been a noted artist on the club\, college and festival circuits of North America. Michael was a winner of the prestigious “New Folk” competition at the Kerrville Folk Festival in Texas\, and his involvement with the seminal Fast Folk Musical Magazine in New York City led to his song “Long Black Wall” being included in the Smithsonian Folkways CD celebrating twenty years of Fast Folk. \nWebsite: www.michaeljerling.com \n  \n \n  \n  \n \nGNP is a jazz piano trio featuring Tyler Giroux on piano\, Matt Niedbalski on drums\, and Dylan Perrillo on bass. Tyler\, Matt\, and Dylan have been playing together for several years. Their first performances as a group were at the Speakeasy 518 in Albany\, New York\, a cocktail bar known for its prohibition era ambiance and live jazz. Through countless gigs the trio grew together as a unit\, playing as a stand-alone group as well as backing up instrumental soloists and vocalists. \nIn 2020\, a shared passion for original music led to the decision to record their debut album as a group\, “Codes.” “Codes” is a reference to the band’s musical communication\, the unique vocabulary and cues the group developed over years of playing and growing together. The album consists of 9 original pieces composed by Tyler\, Matt\, and Dylan\, as well as one standard\, Gershwin’s “But Not For Me.” You can check out the album here. \nSince the release of “Codes” GNP has performed at a myriad of festivals and theaters in and around New York. A favorite moment of the group was backing up the legendary vocalist Sheila Jordan as a part of the Québec Jazz in June festival. GNP released it’s sophomore album “Returning” on Signal Path Records in January of 2025. \nWebsite: www.mattniedbalski.com/gnp-epk \n  \n \n  \nReturn to Calendar \n

SUMMARY:Weird Phishes & Strange Machines
DESCRIPTION:Doors: 7:00pm\nShow: 8:00pm \nAges: 18+ \nTickets: $18 Advance / $23 Day of Show \n** Click Here to Purchase Tickets ** \n  \nWeird Phishes is exactly what it sounds like – the iconic melancholy rock songs of Radiohead completely reborn as danceable\, crunchy jams. With full-album performances\, unexpected mashups\, and gluey funk-driven improvisation\, their jam-heavy take on alt-rock classics has sparked an unexpected energy in audiences across the northeast. Cleverly avoiding the “tribute” trope\, Weird Phishes continues to push the envelope of what a mashup band can be\, delivering performances that need to be experienced in order to believe. \nA quick glance at the band’s social media gives a glimpse into why this unlikely mashup proves worthwhile. “Bought tickets on a whim because I love both bands\, had wanted to check out the club\, and thought it would be amusing. I was not expecting such incredible musicianship and thought that had gone into their set…it was one of the best shows I’ve seen in years.” Said one user. “Clean\, creative mashups of a favorite album and great Phish selections. Great energy.” says another. “Impossibly excellent show.” \nIn July 2019\, Weird Phishes solidified their place in the New England jam community\, playing back-to-back afterparties after Phish’s performances at Fenway Park. With a growing fanbase and an ever-changing setlist\, the band continued their breakout year with a fall run to the midwest. In a weird bout of poetic justice\, Weird Phishes was the last band to play at northeast jam-staple venue Nectar’s before the coronavirus pandemic of 2020. \nWhen live music came back in 2021\, Weird Phishes returned with a force. The band made its triumphant return with a headlining performance at the inaugural Safe and Soundz festival\, and took a victory lap with appearances across the northeast at Circus of Life Festival and a sold-out performance to christen Boston’s newest venue\, Aeronaut Cannery. \nWebsite: www.weirdphishes.com \n  \n \n  \n  \n \nNew England based quartet Strange Machines has made a name for themselves in the East Coast jam scene over the past decade. A true melting pot of musical fusion with sounds catering to a multitude of genre’s and diving into the undefinable\, all while stringing their music together seamlessly to create a fluid and captivating live performance. Their original songs are nuanced by creative composition\, practiced precision\, and a looseness that allows them to truly explore the music they create. \nThey have shared the stage with national-touring acts such as The Disco Biscuits\, Twiddle\, Dopapod\, Papadosio\, Goose\, EOTO\, The Motet\, Pigeons Playing Ping Pong\, Spafford\, lespecial\, Neighbor\, Turkuaz\, Kung Fu\, TAUK\, Deep Banana Blackout and more. Strange Machines have carved out their own niche in the east coast music scene and beyond and show no signs of slowing down. \nWebsite: strangemachines.bandcamp.com \n  \n \n  \nReturn to Calendar

SUMMARY:Eastbound Jesus Album Release Party w/ Forest Station
DESCRIPTION:Doors: 7:00pm\nShow: 8:00pm \nAges: 18+ \nTickets: $20 Advance / $25 Day of Show \n** Click Here to Purchase Tickets ** \n  \nSaturday May 9\, Upstate New York’s own Eastbound Jesus returns to Putnam Place in Saratoga Springs to celebrate their new full-length album\, Hard To Get To Heaven\, recorded in the band’s barn practice space as the winter of 2025 settled over rural Washington County. \nProduced by the band alongside collaborator Jimi Woodul\, the album captures the raw chemistry that has defined Eastbound Jesus’s sound for years\, carrying the group into a second decade of making music together. The sessions embrace the grit and energy of the band’s Northern Rock style. The resulting record continues the band’s blend of Americana storytelling\, bluegrass instrumentation\, and road-tested rock and roll. \nBy recording in their regular weekly practice space\, the band was able to slow down and experiment\, creating performances that feel both intimate and expansive. Hard To Get To Heaven showcases Eastbound Jesus’s signature high-energy roots sound while exploring deep and reflective songwriting—marking some of the band’s most thoughtful work to date. \nWebsite: www.eastboundjesus.com \n  \n \n  \n  \n \nForest Station\, a Vermont-based bluegrass group\, was born in the Rocky Mountains and realized in the Greens. Their music is a captivating blend of high energy\, tight pockets\, and just enough improvisational grease\, that delivers a unique twist on traditional bluegrass sound. \nIn 2019\, guitarist Eli Martell-Crawford and mandolinist Alex Skowron started a musical partnership in Bozeman\, Montana. At the base of the Bridger Mountains\, they formed a communicative musical bond that has resulted in innovative string music spanning the traditional ideal and pushing a unique style into unknown territory. \nA move east to Vermont introduced life changes\, ambitions\, and musicians. After meeting local banjo mainstay\, Thomas Bryce\, the three began formulating musical ideas and a blueprint for the ideal Bluegrass band. \nRecently\, bassist Rob Strasenburgh came on board\, and fiddle player Silas Hamilton often joins them on stage. The musicians of Forest Station come from multi-genre backgrounds\, and the band can effortlessly drop into cavernous improvisational moments while also meeting blistering bluegrass standards\, showcasing their musical versatility and prowess. \nAfter their first album\, “Earth Tones\,” was released in 2024\, they played at various festivals throughout New England and have played with national acts as they grow their fan base. Their writing partnership\, deep-rooted love for the natural world\, and profound appreciation of Bluegrass music (and beyond) result in music that is a reflection of the mountain ranges\, landscapes\, and forests that surround them. \nWebsite: www.foreststationbluegrass.com \n  \n \n  \nReturn to Calendar \n

SUMMARY:Rainbow Full of Sound & Dead Zep
DESCRIPTION:Doors: 7:00pm\nShow: 8:00pm \nAges: 18+ \nTickets: $18 Advance / $23 Day of Show \n** Click Here to Purchase Tickets ** \n  \nGet ready for a night of Grateful Dead & Led Zeppelin! Rainbow Full of Sound will perform selections from the Grateful Dead’s 5/8/77 Barton Hall show from Cornell University\, followed by a mashup set of Grateful Dead & Led Zeppelin. \nIt’s somewhat boggling to think of Jerry Garcia and Jimmy Page swapping riffs – the beatific Buddha and the slashing\, edgy Page. But as veteran player of Grateful Dead music Waynard Scheller noticed one night\, the chords of the Dead anthem “St. Stephen” merged seamlessly into “Whole Lotta Love.” Then he sat down and found lots of pairs of songs that fit together. And thus was born “Dead-Zep\,” a new band formed from his Rainbow Full of Love to mash up the two repertoires. \nThey not only flow from Zep to Dead and back again\, they play Zep songs like the GD and Dead songs the way Zep would…which makes for a fascinating\, sometimes shocking evening. Hearing “Ramble On” suddenly dissolve into “St. Stephen” can be amazing to the point of a slight and interesting sense of disorientation. It’s a wide\, wide world. \nWaynard has been touring up and down the East Coast for years\, delighting Dead Heads and other listeners. He founded Dead-Zep with a rotating cast in 2018\, and then ran into the pandemic. Now that things are a little healthier…it’s time for Dead-Zep to step out onstage. \nIt’s time now for something (almost) completely different! \nWebsite: www.deadzep.com \n  \n \n  \nReturn to Calendar \n

SUMMARY:Paul Gilbert WROC World Tour wsg/ Greg Koch
DESCRIPTION:Doors: 6:30pm\nShow: 7:30pm \nAges: 21+ \nTickets: $50 \n** Click Here to Purchase Tickets ** \n  \nFrom platinum album sales and number one chart success as a founding member of MR. BIG\, to frightening the guitar community with new levels of ferocious picking technique with shred-pioneers RACER X\, to exploring punk\, pop\, classical\, blues\, jazz\, and progressive instrumental styles in his solo career\, Paul Gilbert has recorded a massive amount of stunning guitar music\, all while circling the globe to play sold-out arenas from Japan to Jakarta. \nWebsite: www.paulgilbert.com \n  \n \n  \n  \n \nIt is not a stretch to say that Milwaukee native Greg Koch is one of the most famous unknown guitar players in the world. His fierce creative spirit and crazed sense of fun fused with a tremendous degree of versatility has made him an island of six-stringed mirth in a sea of guitar warlords. Fifteen critically acclaimed CD’s featuring his unique and incendiary brand of playing and composing\, international tours as band leader\, fourteen best-selling guitar instructional materials for the Hal Leonard Publishing empire\, articles and columns in some the biggest guitar magazines\, a lengthy past tenure as an ambassador for Fender Guitars and a similar position in that capacity for Fishman Transducers has generated a respectable following for Greg throughout the world. Ultimately\, Greg’s 4000 plus videos exceeding 50 million views for Wildwood Guitars of Louisville Colorado showcasing Greg’s wild guitar test drives and random humorous commentary have made him a household name for guitar players throughout the galaxy.\n\nGreg’s latest original music outlet\, The Koch-Marshall Trio\, is perhaps the best vehicle yet to convey his bold improvisational explorations and ever increasing arsenal of original material. The trio blends the explosive guitar manipulations of Greg\, the groove-centric\, power-pocket playing of his son Dylan on drums (who share many telepathic musical moments) and the glorious\, Hammond organ stylings of the uber-talented Toby Marshall\, Greg’s compositions are properly portrayed in the blues drenched\, funk\, chicken-fried\, gospelly\, jazz-rock panorama in which they were conceived. Their first release\, “Toby Arrives” will be released in the February 23\, 2018 on the Mascot Label Group / Players Club Imprint and features the first moments of their unexpected musical partnership captured at an extemporaneous jam session earlier in the year. \nWebsite: www.gregkoch.com \n  \n \n  \nReturn to Calendar \n

Known for his commanding voice\, infectious rhythms\, and deep connection to Latin musical traditions\, Rafy’s style effortlessly blends bachata\, merengue\, salsa\, urban\, and tropical influences\, creating a sound that is both timeless and undeniably fresh. \nBorn in Gaspar Hernández\, in the Dominican province of Espaillat\, and raised in Puerto Rico\, Rafy was immersed in music from a young age. He grew up surrounded by the rhythms of the island and the storytelling soul of bachata\, eventually transforming those early influences into a musical identity all his own. As both a vocalist and songwriter\, Rafy’s work is known for its authenticity\, energy\, and ability to connect across generations and cultures. \nWhile many recognize Rafy Cabrera as a radio pioneer—helping introduce and promote some of the biggest names in bachata to Puerto Rican audiences—his musicianship has steadily carved out its own lane. Rafy’s performances combine live instrumentation with genre-crossing production\, and his lyrics often touch on themes of love\, resilience\, identity\, and celebration. \nOn stage\, Rafy brings a vibrant charisma\, winning over audiences whether he’s fronting a full tropical band\, delivering stripped-down acoustic sets\, or moving crowds with danceable\, high-energy tracks. His deep understanding of Latin music culture\, honed from years in broadcasting and artist development\, informs every performance\, making him a standout figure in the new generation of Caribbean music voices. \n  \n \n  \nReturn to Calendar

SUMMARY:Lotus: Rise of the Anglerfish Tour
DESCRIPTION:Doors: 7:00pm\nShow: 8:00pm \nAges: 18+ \nTickets: $28.50 Advance / $35 Day of Show \n** The online presale period for this show has ended. Tickets will be available at the door. \n  \nLotus\, innovators in blending electronic dance music with the jamband model of improvisation\, have captivated audiences with their high-energy\, dance-inducing shows and intrepid studio work. Drawing from genres such as psychedelic rock\, krautrock\, post-rock\, disco\, and funk\, the four-piece band is known for their festival-favorite performances and intriguing songwriting\, which seamlessly transitions from high-flying guitar solos to modular synth workouts\, combining tightly composed songs with free-ranging group improvisation. \nTheir 11th studio album\, “How To Dream In Color\,” showcases Lotus’s evolution\, featuring 12 tracks that traverse a spectrum of soundscapes. While primarily instrumental\, this album includes vocals—both traditional and electronically manipulated—integrating elements that create distinct atmospheres for each composition. Highlights include tracks like “How Do I Come Down\,” a riveting opener with Radiohead-esque vocals from Gabe Otto\, the groovy and unique “Watching the Distant Storm\,” and the driving krautrock instrumental “In the Shadow of the Mountain.” The album originated from demos on an old 8-track reel-to-reel tape machine\, balancing gritty analog sounds with hi-fi studio production. The album reflects a dreamlike narrative where incongruities blend into a cohesive whole\, incorporating guest vocals\, horns\, violin\, handpan\, modular synths\, and modern electronic techniques. \nBuilding on their extensive touring experience and diverse production styles\, Lotus continues to innovate and inspire. Over the last seventeen years\, the band has toured actively throughout the US working their way up from clubs to world-class venues such as Red Rocks (15 times). They’ve become festival favorites\, playing everything from Bonnaroo to Outside Lands and Electric Forest. This year\, the band celebrates the sixteenth anniversary of their annual festival\, Summerdance\, in Garrettsville\, OH. \nMuch like a live Lotus show\, “How To Dream In Color” is a journey\, offering a beacon for fans old and new\, inviting them to explore the vibrant and infinite realms of Lotus’ musical vision. \nWebsite: www.lotusvibes.com \n  \n \n

SUMMARY:The Samples w/ Rob Beaulieu Band
DESCRIPTION:Doors: 7:00pm\nShow: 8:00pm \nAges: 18+ \nTickets: $25 Advance / $30 Day of Show \n** Click Here to Purchase Tickets ** \n  \nThe Samples\, led by founding singer-songwriter Sean Kelly\, have been blending rock\, reggae\, and folk into their signature melodic sound since emerging from Boulder\, Colorado in the late ’80s. Best known for hits like “Nature\,” “Did You Ever Look So Nice\,” and “When It’s Raining\,” the band built a devoted following through national touring\, standout festival appearances\, and their feel-good\, harmony-rich live performances. \nOften compared to a cross between The Police and the Grateful Dead\, The Samples deliver hook-driven songwriting\, infectious grooves\, and uplifting lyrics that have connected with generations of fans. With decades of touring under their belt and a deep catalog of fan favorites\, The Samples continue to bring an electric\, nostalgic\, and unmistakably feel-good energy to every stage. \nMore than 30 years after starting his full-fledged music career with The Samples\, Sean Kelly continues to delight fans with music that transcends genres\, age and shatters the rules of the established music industry. Throughout his career\, Sean has been the driving influence of 20 albums and over 1 million records sold. \nSean started playing guitar at age 16 listening to Neil Young\, Rolling Stones and Jackson Browne. Those influences mixed with his own poignant and timeless lyrics\, a unique and striking voice and a mind for melodies led to songs like Little Silver Ring\, Feel Us Shaking and Wild River. For many fans\, these aren’t new songs or old songs\, but anthems to their lives that represent the first time they met their wife or the joys of their times at college. \nThe Samples are more than a band – they represent a culture of fans and music that go beyond who happens to be playing in the band at any given time. There have been many members of The Samples\, but Sean Kelly has been the consistent factor throughout all of the changes. \nSean’s journeys across America have taken place in rental cars\, tour buses and pickup trucks that would have literally taken him to the moon and back over the last quarter of a century. \nBand Website: www.thesamples.com \n  \n \n  \n  \n \nRob Beaulieu Band is a deep dive into Americana with a slightly more blues and soul take than you will find with Raisinhead. Rob explores an improvised approach to the rock\, folk\, blues\, R&B and soul catalog… playing everything from gospel tunes to Lou Reed\, and whatever lies in between. Reinterpreting many of his own songs\, as well as the whole experience\, will leave you in a soulful mood. The show is slightly akin to a Jerry Garcia Band show with a more rock edge. Never the same show\, never the same approach\, the band includes Tony Perrino on organ. Tony toured with ex-Allman Brothers Band guitarist Dan Toller for 10 years and solidifies the southern blues and soul elements in the band. If you want to come and be rocked\, dance some\, cry some\, laugh and smile a lot\, this is for you. \nWebsite: www.rbbmusic.org \n  \n \n  \nReturn to Calendar \n

SUMMARY:Dirtwire: Universal Language Tour w/ Buffalo Nichols
DESCRIPTION:Doors: 7:00pm\nShow: 8:00pm \nAges: 18+ \nTickets: $25 Advance / $30 Day of Show \n** Click Here to Purchase Tickets ** \n  \nDirtwire stands poised between ancient Mother Earth and modern technology\, a blend of ethnomusicology and the psychedelic trance state\, gut-bucket delta blues and what the band variously dubs “back-porch space cowboy blues\, swamptronica\, and electro-twang.” It’s a sound informed by Dirtwire’s travels and performances around the globe\, where East meets West and North joins South. From the favelas in Brazil\, Femi Kuti’s Shrine in Lagos\, Tokyo’s bluegrass clubs\, Ayahuasca ceremonies in Central America\, Gamelan performances in Bali\, desert festivals in the Australian Outback\, and the 20th anniversary of Kazakhstan’s modernized new capital Astana\, the band spreads its message by building bridges across musical cultures in their own unique way. \nDirtwire plays an array of instruments both ancient and modern\, including West African kamale ngonis\, jaw harps\, space fiddles\, whamola basses\, Rickenbacher electric 12 string guitars\, bowed Banjos and mouth harps from around the globe\, all interwoven into modern laptop beat creation. Hailing from the underground west coast electronic bass music scene Dirtwire finds itself at the forefront of experimental electronic music production mixing in their wide array of world instruments with sampled beats and 808’s. Dirtwire’s live shows are a communal psychedelic journey\, ranging from down home boot stomping get downs\, to bass and blues electronic mashups\, to ethereal cinematic beat driven soundscapes. Woven into each is the exploration of where live instruments meet computer production\, and where tradition meets experimentation. \nWebsite: www.dirtwire.net \n  \n \n  \n  \n \nBuffalo Nichols is a blues guitarist\, songwriter\, and producer whose music strips the genre to its raw emotional core while pushing it forward with modern urgency. Born in Milwaukee\, Wisconsin\, Nichols draws from the deep traditions of Delta and Hill Country blues\, but his work is unmistakably contemporary—minimalist\, confrontational\, and deeply personal. \nBlending blistering slide guitar\, hypnotic rhythms\, and searing lyrics\, Nichols’ songs explore themes of identity\, race\, struggle\, and resilience in America. His self-titled debut album\, released on Fat Possum Records\, announced him as a powerful new voice in modern blues\, earning critical acclaim for its stark production and fearless storytelling. \nEqually at home on intimate stages and major festival bills\, Nichols has toured extensively\, including performances with artists such as The Black Keys\, and appearances at festivals like Newport Folk Festival and SXSW. Whether solo or amplified\, his performances are intense\, honest\, and uncompromising—rooted in tradition but never bound by it. \nBuffalo Nichols stands at the intersection of past and present\, honoring the blues while reshaping it for a new generation. \nWebsite: www.buffalo-nichols.com \n  \n \n  \n  \nReturn to Calendar

SUMMARY:Neon Avenue
DESCRIPTION:Doors: 7:30pm\nShow: 8:30pm \nAges: 18+ \nTickets: $20 Advance \n** Click Here to Purchase Tickets ** \n\n  \nBorn from the depths of the 2020 Pandemic\, this group of Capital Region musicians came together for what felt like necessity. With the stalling of the music industry\, a creative outlet was needed for these 5 individuals. What was first a casual get together playing some dead tunes quickly escalated into a singular goal of putting together a live stream. Something special happened during these early sessions and a “one-and-done” livestream turned into something much more. \nIn less than 2 years as a band\, Neon Avenue has made quite a stir in the ever popular (and saturated) Gratefully-inspired tribute scene\, growing quickly to become one of the bigger draws in the Upstate NY capital region Dead scene. The band brings a fresh take on the Grateful music that you know and love while placing an emphasis on improvisation\, unique setlist construction\, deeper cuts into the grateful songbook and a primal energy that they draw from their loyal fans during live performances. With past appearances at the Town of Hoosick Falls concert series\, Long Lake’s “Meat.Beer.Music” music festival\, as well as scheduled appearances at Lake George Steamboat Company’s “Rock the Dock Music Festival”\, “Rockin’ on the River” for the city of Troy\, and numerous headlining shows around the Capital region\, the word has certainly gotten out about this band. Composed of veteran musicians from numerous local groups like Formula 5\, Slipknot! (80’s/90’s Dead tribute)\, Stone Revival Band\, Knot Dead\, Jocamo\, and more\, this combination of players has set out to push the boundaries of the standard Dead tribute. \nThe group of Joe Davis (Formula 5)\, Mike Urbon (Knot Dead)\, Mike Cassels (Stone Revival Band\, Jocamo\, Knot Dead)\, Mike McDonald (Formula 5\, Knot Dead) and Doug Klein (Slipknot\, Robanic\, Knot Dead) were re-inspired playing the music of the Grateful Dead\, Jerry Garcia Band\, Ratdog\, and others. While existing in an endless sea of 1970’s era Grateful Dead tributes\, this group strives to separate itself with a dedication to unique arrangements of setlists and song segues\, utilizing extended improvisation\, playing deeper cuts from all eras of the Dead\, JGB\, and Ratdog songbook. \nWebsite: www.neonavenuedead.com \n\n  \n \n  \nReturn to Calendar \n  \n

SUMMARY:Dead Man's Waltz
DESCRIPTION:Doors: 7:30pm\nShow: 8:30pm \nAges: 18+ \nTickets: $18 Advance / $23 Day of Show \n** Click Here to Purchase Tickets ** \n  \nInterweaving the classic songs and jams of The Grateful Dead\, The Allman Brothers Band and The Band\, Dead Man’s Waltz is an all-star collective from the Northeast festival scene. Dead Man’s Waltz features top-notch musicianship and offers a refreshing twist to the music of three legendary and iconic bands. While staying true to the spirit of the music\, the band members put their own dynamic spin on a vast catalog of beloved songs that are now part of the new American song book. \nAt its core\, DMW is a celebration of the long standing tradition of crossover between The Dead\, The Allmans and The Band\, culminating with the legendary 1973 Summer Jam Music Festival in Watkin’s Glenn\, NY where the three bands performed together. DMW’s arrangements are experiments\, as they easily flow from the familiar to the obscure\, moving from standards like “Jessica” into “Going Down The Road Feeling Bad” into “Don’t Do It” or “Up On Cripple Creek” into “They Love Each Other” into “Midnight Rider”. The band always keeps it fresh with new and unexpected arrangements and improvisations\, while engaging fans in the free-spirited party and colorful\, close-knit community surrounding their shows. \nWith 2 drummers\, DMW’s line-up mirrors those of both The Dead and The Allmans as well as later line-ups of The Band. Dead Man’s Waltz features the all-star lineup of “Rev” Tor Krautter on guitar and vocals\, Tom Major on drums\, Parker McQueeney on keys and vocals\, Wesley Childers on guitar and vocals\, Jeff Prescott on drums and vocals\, and Brian O’Connell on bass and vocals. Each hail from a unique musical background and adds their own personal style\, influence and character to the mix (which is exactly what the music calls for). \nWebsite: www.deadmanswaltz.com \n  \n \n  \nReturn to Calendar \n

SUMMARY:Gratefully Yours
DESCRIPTION:Doors: 7:30pm\nShow: 8:00pm \nAges: 18+ \nTickets: $20 at Door \n  \nGratefully Yours is a Grateful Dead inspired band\, based out of New Paltz\, NY. The band was conceived and founded in 2012 by keyboardist Alex Mazur\, who is also the founder of The Deadbeats; one of the longest running Grateful Dead cover bands in existence. \nHowever\, “cover band” is an extremely misleading term when it comes to the music of Gratefully Yours. Their willingness and ability to improvise\, and their openness to spontaneity and the energy of the moment lie at the core of their performances and truly sets them apart. In the very best tradition of The Grateful Dead\, it is this openness that allows the crowd to become a part of the creative process and results in a synergy between the band and the crowd that is unique and truly special. It is that magic that Gratefully Yours truly aims to “cover” and pay tribute to. \nThey also allow their audience to participate further by giving them the opportunity to submit their dream set lists\, which Gratefully Yours just may happen to choose and perform. But of course\, you just never know what might happen… \nWebsite: www.gratefullyyours.net \n  \n \n  \nReturn to Calendar
