SUMMARY:lespecial: Tentacle Difficulties Tour w/ Peak
DESCRIPTION:Doors: 7:30pm\nShow: 8:30pm \nAges: 18+ \nTickets: $20 Advance / $25 Day of Show \n** Click Here to Purchase Tickets ** \n  \nlespecial is redefining the term “power trio”. The multi-instrumentalists from Connecticut continue to push the boundaries of what a three-piece band is capable of both live and in the studio ahead of their latest album\, “Odd Times”. The band’s signature blend of “heavy future groove” combines headbanging metal riffage and surgical rhythmic precision with bone shaking 808s\, sub synths and ethereal vocal stylings for a dance floor that welcomes moshing\, dancing and hip swaying alike. Listeners are taken on ajourney to the musical netherworld through esoteric soundscapes punctuated by raw\, primal power. \nOdd Times\, lespecial’s darkest and heaviest record to date\, is an enigmatic and compelling musical project that explores the ever-changing nature of time amidst isolation. With heavy riffs\, tribal drumming\, and hints of levity\, it’s a captivating journey crafted in collaboration with Havok’s David Sanchez. An intriguing blend of old-school metal and modern djent-inspired riffage awaits in this haunting sonic experience. \nWebsite: www.lespecial.net \n  \n \n  \n  \n \nPeak is a Brooklyn-based quartet featuring songwriter and guitarist Jeremy Hilliard (Turbine)\, Kito Bovenshulte (Particle) on drums\, Josh T. Carter (Hayley Jane and The Primates) on bass\, and Johnny Young on keys (Mick Taylor Band). Their third full-length album\, Vanishing Skies\, came out on January 31\, 2025. Self-described as Psychedelic Indie Funk\, the band jams extensively in their live show and lets the songs speak for themselves on the record. \nWebsite: www.peaktheband.com \n  \n \n  \nReturn to Calendar \n

SUMMARY:Lotus: Rise of the Anglerfish Tour
DESCRIPTION:Doors: 7:00pm\nShow: 8:00pm \nAges: 18+ \nTickets: $28.50 Advance / $33 Day of Show \n** Click Here to Purchase Tickets ** \n  \nLotus\, innovators in blending electronic dance music with the jamband model of improvisation\, have captivated audiences with their high-energy\, dance-inducing shows and intrepid studio work. Drawing from genres such as psychedelic rock\, krautrock\, post-rock\, disco\, and funk\, the four-piece band is known for their festival-favorite performances and intriguing songwriting\, which seamlessly transitions from high-flying guitar solos to modular synth workouts\, combining tightly composed songs with free-ranging group improvisation. \nTheir 11th studio album\, “How To Dream In Color\,” showcases Lotus’s evolution\, featuring 12 tracks that traverse a spectrum of soundscapes. While primarily instrumental\, this album includes vocals—both traditional and electronically manipulated—integrating elements that create distinct atmospheres for each composition. Highlights include tracks like “How Do I Come Down\,” a riveting opener with Radiohead-esque vocals from Gabe Otto\, the groovy and unique “Watching the Distant Storm\,” and the driving krautrock instrumental “In the Shadow of the Mountain.” The album originated from demos on an old 8-track reel-to-reel tape machine\, balancing gritty analog sounds with hi-fi studio production. The album reflects a dreamlike narrative where incongruities blend into a cohesive whole\, incorporating guest vocals\, horns\, violin\, handpan\, modular synths\, and modern electronic techniques. \nBuilding on their extensive touring experience and diverse production styles\, Lotus continues to innovate and inspire. Over the last two decades\, the band has toured actively throughout the US working their way up from clubs to world-class venues such as Red Rocks (15 times). They’ve become festival favorites\, playing everything from Bonnaroo to Outside Lands and Electric Forest. This year\, the band celebrates the sixteenth anniversary of their annual festival\, Summerdance\, in Garrettsville\, OH. \nMuch like a live Lotus show\, “How To Dream In Color” is a journey\, offering a beacon for fans old and new\, inviting them to explore the vibrant and infinite realms of Lotus’ musical vision. \nWebsite: www.lotusvibes.com \n  \n \n

SUMMARY:Dave Matthews Tribute Band w/ Rich Ortiz
DESCRIPTION:Doors: 7:00pm\nShow: 8:00pm \nAges: 18+ \nTickets: $20 Advance / $25 Day of Show \n** Click Here to Purchase Tickets ** \n  \nDMTB is a celebration of the music of the Dave Matthews Band – a time machine to a funky tea party in the 90’s\, a boisterous era of tape trading\, sing-alongs\, and exploration into a new sonic landscape spearheaded by complex guitar riffs\, soaring violin melodies\, smooth sax lines\, and explorative-explosive drumming. \nDedicated to recreating that moment in musical history\, the DMTB has been honing their craft for over 20 years. Since 2004\, the band’s ruthless touring schedule has been unparalleled\, playing over 2000 shows in 46 states and 10 countries. The Buffalo\, NY based band has successfully paid tribute to the Dave Matthews Band\, with heartfelt recreation of DMB’s musical spirit. \nThe DMTB aims to transport the listener back in time. The band takes inspiration from the classic DMB sound\, with immense respect for the original quintet. While including material from the bands later and current catalogs\, the goal is to create a well rounded and authentic tribute. \nThe attention to details\, love for the music\, and sense of community creates an atmosphere that causes concert goers to say “…wow\, if I close my eyes\, it’s like I’m there!” \nWebsite: www.thedmtb.com \n  \n \n  \n  \n \nRich Ortiz’s style is truly his own and his music is his soul. Ortiz\, never a wallflower\, believes he is the product of his family’s cultural diversity and strengths. Since the age of seventeen he’s focused all of his talents and time on his acoustic solo act\, if you can call it that. Rich plays guitar\, harmonica\, and peddle bass (with his feet)\, and he turns heads with his vocals! He has opened shows for CHICAGO\, REO Speedwagon\, STYX\, Ted Nugent\, Ludacris\, Hoobastank\, KC and The Sunshine Band\, Jeffrey Gaines\, Ryan Montbleau Band\, The Wood Brothers\, Robert Randolph\, Tea Leaf Green\, Zach Deputy\, Kracker\, Merl Saunders\, Melvin Seals\, Jim Weider and the Drifters. \nInspired by artists like Jim Croce\, James Taylor\, The Beatles\, Stevie Wonder and Willie Nelson\, he says “I feel I have to change every gig around in order to grow as a musician.” He plays six and twelve string acoustic guitar and chooses not to cultivate a target audience. He thinks “ideally the feeling of people who leave the room or listen to your CD should be one of making someone’s day. What comes out of your tongue says a lot about your soul.” \nIn 2006\, Ortiz released his debut album\, “Let It Be Life”. Recorded with the help of Grammy winning producer\, John Seymour\, the album features live\, unedited studio recordings of all original works. Soon after its release\, “Let It Be Life” was listed as one of the Top-40 selling Funk/Blues albums on CD Baby\, the #1 online record store for independent music. \nIn 2010\, Ortiz released his sophomore album\, “Face of a Lion”\, which features guest musician Kofi Burbridge (Tedeschi Trucks Band). Most recently\, Ortiz released his 2023 single\, “Water is Our Witness.” \nAs his passion for life grows stronger\, so does the energy in his music. Rich is a truly rare\, authentic talent. \nWebsite: www.richortiz.com \n  \n \n  \nReturn to Calendar \n

SUMMARY:Paul Gilbert WROC World Tour wsg/ Greg Koch
DESCRIPTION:Doors: 6:30pm\nShow: 7:30pm \nAges: 21+ \nTickets: $50 \n** Click Here to Purchase Tickets ** \n  \nFrom platinum album sales and number one chart success as a founding member of MR. BIG\, to frightening the guitar community with new levels of ferocious picking technique with shred-pioneers RACER X\, to exploring punk\, pop\, classical\, blues\, jazz\, and progressive instrumental styles in his solo career\, Paul Gilbert has recorded a massive amount of stunning guitar music\, all while circling the globe to play sold-out arenas from Japan to Jakarta. \nWebsite: www.paulgilbert.com \n  \n \n  \n  \n \nIt is not a stretch to say that Milwaukee native Greg Koch is one of the most famous unknown guitar players in the world. His fierce creative spirit and crazed sense of fun fused with a tremendous degree of versatility has made him an island of six-stringed mirth in a sea of guitar warlords. Fifteen critically acclaimed CD’s featuring his unique and incendiary brand of playing and composing\, international tours as band leader\, fourteen best-selling guitar instructional materials for the Hal Leonard Publishing empire\, articles and columns in some the biggest guitar magazines\, a lengthy past tenure as an ambassador for Fender Guitars and a similar position in that capacity for Fishman Transducers has generated a respectable following for Greg throughout the world. Ultimately\, Greg’s 4000 plus videos exceeding 50 million views for Wildwood Guitars of Louisville Colorado showcasing Greg’s wild guitar test drives and random humorous commentary have made him a household name for guitar players throughout the galaxy.\n\nGreg’s latest original music outlet\, The Koch-Marshall Trio\, is perhaps the best vehicle yet to convey his bold improvisational explorations and ever increasing arsenal of original material. The trio blends the explosive guitar manipulations of Greg\, the groove-centric\, power-pocket playing of his son Dylan on drums (who share many telepathic musical moments) and the glorious\, Hammond organ stylings of the uber-talented Toby Marshall\, Greg’s compositions are properly portrayed in the blues drenched\, funk\, chicken-fried\, gospelly\, jazz-rock panorama in which they were conceived. Their first release\, “Toby Arrives” will be released in the February 23\, 2018 on the Mascot Label Group / Players Club Imprint and features the first moments of their unexpected musical partnership captured at an extemporaneous jam session earlier in the year. \nWebsite: www.gregkoch.com \n  \n \n  \nReturn to Calendar \n

SUMMARY:Rainbow Full of Sound & Dead Zep
DESCRIPTION:Doors: 7:00pm\nShow: 8:00pm \nAges: 18+ \nTickets: $18 Advance / $23 Day of Show \n** Click Here to Purchase Tickets ** \n  \nGet ready for a night of Grateful Dead & Led Zeppelin! Rainbow Full of Sound will perform a set of Grateful Dead\, followed by a mashup set of Grateful Dead & Led Zeppelin.  It’s also not lost on the band that May 8 is the anniversary of the legendary Barton Hall show\, so don’t be surprised to hear some choice selections from Cornell ’77. \nIt’s somewhat boggling to think of Jerry Garcia and Jimmy Page swapping riffs – the beatific Buddha and the slashing\, edgy Page. But as veteran player of Grateful Dead music Waynard Scheller noticed one night\, the chords of the Dead anthem “St. Stephen” merged seamlessly into “Whole Lotta Love.” Then he sat down and found lots of pairs of songs that fit together. And thus was born “Dead-Zep\,” a new band formed from his Rainbow Full of Love to mash up the two repertoires. \nThey not only flow from Zep to Dead and back again\, they play Zep songs like the GD and Dead songs the way Zep would…which makes for a fascinating\, sometimes shocking evening. Hearing “Ramble On” suddenly dissolve into “St. Stephen” can be amazing to the point of a slight and interesting sense of disorientation. It’s a wide\, wide world. \nWaynard has been touring up and down the East Coast for years\, delighting Dead Heads and other listeners. He founded Dead-Zep with a rotating cast in 2018\, and then ran into the pandemic. Now that things are a little healthier…it’s time for Dead-Zep to step out onstage. \nIt’s time now for something (almost) completely different! \nWebsite: www.deadzep.com \n  \n \n  \nReturn to Calendar \n

SUMMARY:Eastbound Jesus Album Release Party w/ Forest Station
DESCRIPTION:Doors: 7:00pm\nShow: 8:00pm \nAges: 18+ \nTickets: $20 Advance / $25 Day of Show \n** Click Here to Purchase Tickets ** \n  \nSaturday May 9\, Upstate New York’s own Eastbound Jesus returns to Putnam Place in Saratoga Springs to celebrate their new full-length album\, Hard To Get To Heaven\, recorded in the band’s barn practice space as the winter of 2025 settled over rural Washington County. \nProduced by the band alongside collaborator Jimi Woodul\, the album captures the raw chemistry that has defined Eastbound Jesus’s sound for years\, carrying the group into a second decade of making music together. The sessions embrace the grit and energy of the band’s Northern Rock style. The resulting record continues the band’s blend of Americana storytelling\, bluegrass instrumentation\, and road-tested rock and roll. \nBy recording in their regular weekly practice space\, the band was able to slow down and experiment\, creating performances that feel both intimate and expansive. Hard To Get To Heaven showcases Eastbound Jesus’s signature high-energy roots sound while exploring deep and reflective songwriting—marking some of the band’s most thoughtful work to date. \nWebsite: www.eastboundjesus.com \n  \n \n  \n  \n \nForest Station\, a Vermont-based bluegrass group\, was born in the Rocky Mountains and realized in the Greens. Their music is a captivating blend of high energy\, tight pockets\, and just enough improvisational grease\, that delivers a unique twist on traditional bluegrass sound. \nIn 2019\, guitarist Eli Martell-Crawford and mandolinist Alex Skowron started a musical partnership in Bozeman\, Montana. At the base of the Bridger Mountains\, they formed a communicative musical bond that has resulted in innovative string music spanning the traditional ideal and pushing a unique style into unknown territory. \nA move east to Vermont introduced life changes\, ambitions\, and musicians. After meeting local banjo mainstay\, Thomas Bryce\, the three began formulating musical ideas and a blueprint for the ideal Bluegrass band. \nRecently\, bassist Rob Strasenburgh came on board\, and fiddle player Silas Hamilton often joins them on stage. The musicians of Forest Station come from multi-genre backgrounds\, and the band can effortlessly drop into cavernous improvisational moments while also meeting blistering bluegrass standards\, showcasing their musical versatility and prowess. \nAfter their first album\, “Earth Tones\,” was released in 2024\, they played at various festivals throughout New England and have played with national acts as they grow their fan base. Their writing partnership\, deep-rooted love for the natural world\, and profound appreciation of Bluegrass music (and beyond) result in music that is a reflection of the mountain ranges\, landscapes\, and forests that surround them. \nWebsite: www.foreststationbluegrass.com \n  \n \n  \nReturn to Calendar \n

SUMMARY:Weird Phishes & Strange Machines
DESCRIPTION:Doors: 7:00pm\nShow: 8:00pm \nAges: 18+ \nTickets: $18 Advance / $23 Day of Show \n** Click Here to Purchase Tickets ** \n  \nWeird Phishes is exactly what it sounds like – the iconic melancholy rock songs of Radiohead completely reborn as danceable\, crunchy jams. With full-album performances\, unexpected mashups\, and gluey funk-driven improvisation\, their jam-heavy take on alt-rock classics has sparked an unexpected energy in audiences across the northeast. Cleverly avoiding the “tribute” trope\, Weird Phishes continues to push the envelope of what a mashup band can be\, delivering performances that need to be experienced in order to believe. \nA quick glance at the band’s social media gives a glimpse into why this unlikely mashup proves worthwhile. “Bought tickets on a whim because I love both bands\, had wanted to check out the club\, and thought it would be amusing. I was not expecting such incredible musicianship and thought that had gone into their set…it was one of the best shows I’ve seen in years.” Said one user. “Clean\, creative mashups of a favorite album and great Phish selections. Great energy.” says another. “Impossibly excellent show.” \nIn July 2019\, Weird Phishes solidified their place in the New England jam community\, playing back-to-back afterparties after Phish’s performances at Fenway Park. With a growing fanbase and an ever-changing setlist\, the band continued their breakout year with a fall run to the midwest. In a weird bout of poetic justice\, Weird Phishes was the last band to play at northeast jam-staple venue Nectar’s before the coronavirus pandemic of 2020. \nWhen live music came back in 2021\, Weird Phishes returned with a force. The band made its triumphant return with a headlining performance at the inaugural Safe and Soundz festival\, and took a victory lap with appearances across the northeast at Circus of Life Festival and a sold-out performance to christen Boston’s newest venue\, Aeronaut Cannery. \nWebsite: www.weirdphishes.com \n  \n \n  \n  \n \nNew England based quartet Strange Machines has made a name for themselves in the East Coast jam scene over the past decade. A true melting pot of musical fusion with sounds catering to a multitude of genre’s and diving into the undefinable\, all while stringing their music together seamlessly to create a fluid and captivating live performance. Their original songs are nuanced by creative composition\, practiced precision\, and a looseness that allows them to truly explore the music they create. \nThey have shared the stage with national-touring acts such as The Disco Biscuits\, Twiddle\, Dopapod\, Papadosio\, Goose\, EOTO\, The Motet\, Pigeons Playing Ping Pong\, Spafford\, lespecial\, Neighbor\, Turkuaz\, Kung Fu\, TAUK\, Deep Banana Blackout and more. Strange Machines have carved out their own niche in the east coast music scene and beyond and show no signs of slowing down. \nWebsite: strangemachines.bandcamp.com \n  \n \n  \nReturn to Calendar
