SUMMARY:Ryan Montbleau Band w/ Kellen Asebroek (Fruition)
DESCRIPTION:Doors: 7:30pm\nShow: 8:30pm \nAges: 18+ \nTickets: $25 Advance / $30 Day of Show \n** Click Here to Purchase Tickets ** \n  \nA relentless road warrior and masterful wordsmith\, Ryan Montbleau has spent the better part of thirty years cultivating a devoted audience on the strength of his ecstatic live shows and exhilarating sonic versatility. He’s collaborated with artists as diverse as Trombone Shorty\, Galactic\, Steel Pulse\, Tall Heights\, Martin Sexton\, Anders Osborne\, and George Porter\, Jr; shared bills with the likes of Tedeschi Trucks Band\, Ani DiFranco\, Todd Snider\, The Wood Brothers\, Rodrigo y Gabriela\, and Mavis Staples; and racked up more than 150 million streams on Spotify alone. NPR’s Mountain Stage compared his “eloquent\, soulful songwriting” to Bill Withers and James Taylor\, while Relix celebrated his “poetic Americana\,” and The Boston Herald raved that “he’s made a career of confident\, danceable positivity.” \nMontbleau’s freewheeling new album finds him exploring the full spectrum of his influences like never before\, touching on folk\, rock\, funk\, soul\, hip-hop\, and reggae\, all with a preternatural ease that belies the intensely focused craftsmanship behind it. The songs are sprawling and unpredictable\, grappling with a modern world perpetually teetering on the edge of chaos\, but the performances are relentlessly optimistic\, insisting on hope and joy in the face of it all. The result is Montbleau’s most vulnerable and cathartic work yet\, an album that acknowledges the inevitability of doubt and pain while at the same time celebrating our limitless capacity for growth and love. \nWebsite: www.ryanmontbleau.com \n  \n \n  \n  \n \nKellen Asebroek will kick of the evening with a solo set of acoustic folk/soul. Known to some for his role as a songwriter\, singer\, and multi-instrumentalist in Portland OR Americana band Fruition\, Asebroek’s existential solo offerings cover love\, death\, political frustration and a cheery cynicsm of the human condition. With influences ranging from Erykah Badu to Johnny Cash\, and 20+ years of performing everywhere from street corners to amphitheaters\, the soul is genuine and the aim is true. \nWebsite: www.fruitionband.com \n  \n \n  \nReturn to Calendar \n

SUMMARY:Chali 2na & Cut Chemist (Jurassic 5) w/ Sophistafunk
DESCRIPTION:Doors: 7:30pm\nShow: 8:30pm \nAges: 18+ \nTickets: $25 Advance / $30 Day of Show \n** Click Here to Purchase Tickets ** \n  \nChali 2na and Cut Chemist have been inseparable for 35 years. It all started in 1987 when they formed their first group UNITY Committee just a couple years after Chali move from Chicago to Los Angeles. \nIn 1994 they combined forces with local rap group Rebels Of Rhythm to form Jurassic 5. Although J5 was in full swing making music and doing shows\, Chali and Cut also were founding members of the fusion Latin group Ozomatli in 1995. Since then the two have been busy with both groups and still managed to find time to separate and embark in solo careers on the side. Cut Chemist went on to do remixes and features for such acts as DJ Shadow\, Less Than Jake and Blackalicious. Chali also explored his rap prowess with such acts as Roots Manuva\, Lyrics Born\, Slightly Stoopid and Galactic just to name a few. Separately they also landed solo deals with Interscope and Warner Brothers. \nThe two have kept busy with their own separate careers while always finding time to collaborate. It’s a 35 year old friendship that manifests into music and art. \nFor the last three years they’ve been doing a special collaborative performance that tells the story of their lives in music together. The catalogue is as endless as the time they spent together creating over the years. \nChali 2na Website: www.chali2na.com \nCut Chemist Website: www.cutchemist.com \n  \n \n  \n  \n \nSophistafunk is rooted in undeniable musicianship and authenticity\, blending intoxicating beats with mind-expanding flows. Mad scientist Adam Gold is known for his heavy synth basslines and funky vocals. He plays four vintage keyboards at the same time\, sometimes even while beatboxing! Gospel trained drummer and singer Emanuel Washington combines neo-soul with deep house\, reggae\, and more. Frontman / emcee Jack Brown evokes comparisons from Mac Miller to Michael Frantí\, but his lyrical skill and conscious vibes are truly one of a kind. The band also features musical guests\, ranging from brass instruments to guitars\, turntablists\, female singers\, & other surprises. Lately\, they’ve been touring with sax powerhouse Tommy Weeks of the Funky Dawgz Brass Band. \nSophistafunk is for music lovers. Through the years\, they’ve become one of the most exhilarating and fulfilling live music experiences around. They blend genres as a broader analogy for people coming together\, leaving audiences with an undeniable afterglow of funky positivity. For years\, Sophistafunk has been pioneers on the live music circuit\, unafraid to push boundaries with their sounds and their messages. And now the whole world is finding out. Catch a show\, and join the party! \nWebsite: www.sophistafunkband.com \n  \n  \n \n  \nReturn to Calendar

The Annie in the Water duo mixes a rootsy/folky/trad Celtic feeling with an upbeat jammy vibe that keeps people moving. With layered loops\, blending harmonies and ascending lead guitar\, both brad and Michael weave their unique voices and guitar abilities to produce a sound that feels much bigger than two performers. Over the years\, they grew out of college towns and dive bars and moved onto bigger stages. They have also since expanded their line up to a 5 piece band which encapsulates the full strength and experience that is Annie in the Water which you can find touring the country. \nWebsite: www.annieinthewater.com \n  \n \n  \nReturn to Website

SUMMARY:Neon Avenue
DESCRIPTION:Doors: 6:30pm\nShow: 7:30pm \nAges: 18+ \nTickets: $20 Advance \n** Click Here to Purchase Tickets ** \n\n  \nCelebrate the 55th Anniversary of Greg Bell’s first Grateful Dead Show with Neon Avenue. \nBorn from the depths of the 2020 Pandemic\, this group of Capital Region musicians came together for what felt like necessity. With the stalling of the music industry\, a creative outlet was needed for these 5 individuals. What was first a casual get together playing some dead tunes quickly escalated into a singular goal of putting together a live stream. Something special happened during these early sessions and a “one-and-done” livestream turned into something much more. \nIn less than 2 years as a band\, Neon Avenue has made quite a stir in the ever popular (and saturated) Gratefully-inspired tribute scene\, growing quickly to become one of the bigger draws in the Upstate NY capital region Dead scene. The band brings a fresh take on the Grateful music that you know and love while placing an emphasis on improvisation\, unique setlist construction\, deeper cuts into the grateful songbook and a primal energy that they draw from their loyal fans during live performances. With past appearances at the Town of Hoosick Falls concert series\, Long Lake’s “Meat.Beer.Music” music festival\, as well as scheduled appearances at Lake George Steamboat Company’s “Rock the Dock Music Festival”\, “Rockin’ on the River” for the city of Troy\, and numerous headlining shows around the Capital region\, the word has certainly gotten out about this band. Composed of veteran musicians from numerous local groups like Formula 5\, Slipknot! (80’s/90’s Dead tribute)\, Stone Revival Band\, Knot Dead\, Jocamo\, and more\, this combination of players has set out to push the boundaries of the standard Dead tribute. \nThe group of Joe Davis (Formula 5)\, Mike Urbon (Knot Dead)\, Mike Cassels (Stone Revival Band\, Jocamo\, Knot Dead)\, Mike McDonald (Formula 5\, Knot Dead) and Doug Klein (Slipknot\, Robanic\, Knot Dead) were re-inspired playing the music of the Grateful Dead\, Jerry Garcia Band\, Ratdog\, and others. While existing in an endless sea of 1970’s era Grateful Dead tributes\, this group strives to separate itself with a dedication to unique arrangements of setlists and song segues\, utilizing extended improvisation\, playing deeper cuts from all eras of the Dead\, JGB\, and Ratdog songbook. \nWebsite: www.neonavenuedead.com \n\n  \n \n  \nReturn to Calendar \n  \n

DESCRIPTION:Doors: 7:00pm\nShow: 8:00pm \nAges: 18+ \nTickets: $20 Advance / $25 Day of Show \n** Click Here to Purchase Tickets ** \n  \n“A Band Of Brothers” isn’t just an Allman Brothers tribute band; they’re a powerhouse\, uniting the top-tier talent of the East Coast. The brainchild of ace Boston guitarists Ryan Taylor and Johnny Trama\, this collective\, more than a mere homage\, harness the Allman Brothers tradition as a vehicle to bring a unique and exciting experience every night. \nMatt Zeiner began his professional music career touring with Matt “Guitar” Murphy\, who exposed him to a fusion of blues and jazz. His career took a significant turn in 2000 when Dickey Betts of the Allman Brothers Band recruited him as a keyboardist and vocalist\, leading to a fruitful collaboration and tour. Zeiner’s own songwriting flourished during this time\, contributing notably to the band’s repertoire. After four years touring\, he returned home\, focused on original material\, and formed his own band. They achieved recognition with their 2007 release\, “Live on a Summer Night\,” and continued to evolve through collaborations with artists like Melvin Sparks and Jeff Pevar. Zeiner’s band has since been working on an ambitious new album\, showcasing his ability to craft infectious melodies with tight\, dynamic arrangements across a range of soul\, R&B\, and rock genres. Johnny Trama on guitar conjures up riffs and rhythms that speak volumes. His journey through the realms of rock\, soul\, and blues\, playing with icons like Bettye LaVette and Jesse Dee\, has armed him with a mystical musical prowess. Jesse Williams on bass has played with everyone from Duke Robillard\, Louis Walker to North Mississippi Allstars. Tom Arey behind the drums has played with artists like Peter Wolf’s Midnight Travelers. Brendan Tommaney on percussion has played with groups like Pink Talking Fish\, Tommaney and brings a jazz-infused sensibility that adds depth and dimension to the band’s sound. \nWebsite: www.abandofbrothersabb.com \n  \n \n  \nReturn to Calendar

All remaining tickets will be available at the door. \n  \nMelvin Seals has been a powerful presence in the music industry for over 30 years with a long-established reputation as a performer\, recording artist and producer. Melvin is most revered for his powerful\, high-spirited\, Hammond B-3 organ\, and keyboards in the Jerry Garcia Band. Melvin spun his B-3 magic with the Jerry Garcia Band for 18 years and in doing so helped pioneer and define what has now become “Jam Band Music”. From blues to funk to rock to jazz\, Melvin Seals serves up a tasty mix with a little R&B and gospel thrown in to spice things up. \nMelvin and JGB bring an intuitive\, expressive style\, soul\, spontaneity and remarkable chops to the table. John Kadlecik on lead guitar and vocal duties\, John-Paul McLean’s savory bass\, Jeremy Hoenig on the drums and\, of course\, a heapin’ helpin’ of the wizard’s magic on Hammond B-3 Organ and keyboards. Their chemistry is the focus from which they create a spontaneous and high art where the sky is the limit musically. SUMMARY:Mystic Bowie's Talking Dreads w/ Dr. Jah & The Love Prophets
DESCRIPTION:Doors: 7:30pm\nShow: 8:30pm \nAges: 18+ \nTickets: $20 Advance / $25 Day of Show \n** Click Here to Purchase Tickets ** \n  \nOn “Life During Wartime\,” the first single from Talking Heads’ 1979 album Fear of Music\, David Byrne famously sang the immortal lyrics\, “This ain’t no party\, this ain’t no disco…no time for dancing…” Yet all those anti-fun declarations go gleefully out the window when Tom Tom Club alum\, Mystic Bowie\, aka the “Head Dread\,” takes the stage\, re-imagining and infusing fresh life into TH’s classic catalog with his high octane mix of roots reggae\, ska and lover’s rock (aka “romantic reggae”). \nSince debuting his musically revolutionary Talking Dreads project live at the High Times Music Festival on the beach in Negril in late 2015\, the charismatic Jamaican-born singer and performer has electrified audiences at over 100 shows across North America – spinning the heads of initially skeptical Talking Heads fans\, and getting everyone else grooving along to the infectious\, joyous rhythms and jubilant spirit of his native island. Considering the success of these events\, it was only a matter of time before Bowie – who has lived in the Northeastern U.S. for many years – headed back to his cherished homeland and set up shop at the famed Barry O’Hare Studios in Ocho Rios. He gathered old friends he had played music with since childhood\, along with younger musicians\, legendary Jamaican artists and other surprise guests to capture all the magic of his live performances on the epic\, 13 track recording Mystic Bowie’s Talking Dreads. \nTalking Dreads is much more than a cover band\,” Mystic says. “I am very much drawing on my own musical culture and history to make these amazing songs my own\, while at the same time preserving the integrity of the Talking Heads songs. I’ve always felt that reggae’s dance-inspiring\, feel good vibe is universal\, as are many of the band’s songs. And don’t forget their intelligent\, powerful lyrics\, which are fun to sing and shine fresh light on through this new fusion of styles. It took a lot of effort to deconstruct and dissect each song to make it work seamlessly with my singing and performance style. I removed all the instrumentation\, kept the story and words\, then created my own reggae\, Caribbean and tribal feel and married those two elements – then brought back a few of the melodies that captured my attention back in the day.” \nMystic can trace his passion for all things Talking Heads back to his early days performing at hotels in Jamaica\, when he heard “Wild Wild Life” – but his connection to the legendary new wave band goes much deeper. His close personal and professional relationship with Chris Frantz and Tina Weymouth\, founding members of Talking Heads and Tom Tom Club\, began when he joined the latter group as a singer in 1996. He appeared on their 2000 album The Good\, The Bad and the Funky and performed with them for nearly 17 years. Mystic’s first spark of inspiration for the concept that evolved into Talking Dreads began during his time with Tom Tom Club\, when there were attempts by certain entities to secure a new Talking Heads album and reunion tour. \n“I was already fantasizing about being a backup singer\,” Mystic laughs\, “but when that hope was not realized\, I thought about my own lengthy solo career and my work with Chris and Tina and mused\, ‘Why not marry the two ideas\, my reggae culture and heritage and Talking Heads Music and lyrics?’ I kept this as a secret for eight years and then went to Berklee College three years ago\, recruited a handful of students to jam with me and started reconstructing some of the band’s classic songs. My only criterion was that the kids were familiar with the band and were reggae fans.” \nAfter creating rough recordings in a Berklee rehearsal room\, Mystic moved to a pro studio in Boston to create a fully produced demo. The demo featured 11 songs that spanned the entire Talking Heads’ discography\, starting with early favorites like “Psycho Killer” and “Pulled Up” and continuing with their best known hits (“Burning Down the House\,” “Crosseyed and Painless\,” “Houses in Motion”) and brilliant but more obscure gems like “This Must Be The Place.” He got an instant “thumbs up” from Frantz and Weymouth\, then ran it by Seymour Stein\, the music industry mogul who had signed Talking Heads to his label\, Sire Records\, and helped make them superstars. “Seymour’s exact words were\, ‘Why the hell didn’t I ever think of this?’ When I asked for his blessing\, he said\, ‘On one condition. That you include ‘Love\, Building on Fire\,’ which is the song he heard them sing at CBGB’s in New York that ultimately inspired him to sign them.” \nThe Talking Dreads debut features an amazing lineup of legendary reggae figures\, including singer Freddie McGregor\, whose recording career dates back to his 1980 album Bobby Bobylon; ska guitar master Ernest Ranglin\, (session player and arranger of Millie’s hit “My Boy Lollipop” and the Melodians’ “Rivers of Babylon” who has worked with Bob Marley\, Jimmy Cliff and Monty Alexander; singer and Soul Train Award nominee Tarrus Riley (“Start Anew\,” “Good Girl Gone Bad”) and saxophone great Dean Fraser. Bridging generations\, Mystic also invited his young drummer friend Kirk Bennett and his old friend Lincoln Thomas\, who is McGregor’s longtime guitarist\, to participate. The sole non-Jamaican on Mystic Bowie’s Talking Dreads\, Cindy Wilson of the B-52s was chosen as a voice that harkens back to the era of Talking Heads’ new wave heyday. Wilson duets beautifully with Mystic on a dreamy\, soulful rendition of “Heaven.” \n“I decided to go with all Jamaican musicians\,” Mystic says\, “because there was always the risk that if I worked with American musicians who were big Talking Heads fans\, they might lean towards the original style and melodies\, and I wanted to make the album authentically Jamaican. So I feature a lot of these artists from the island and legitimize the entire process so it can be accepted and understood by Jamaicans. The rest of the world knows Talking Heads\, so they’re going to catch on with the lyrics easier. In the Caribbean\, you have to give them that thing that’s going to attract them to it\, and that was their cultural genre attached to these songs. In the studio\, I would make sure everything was authentically Jamaican\, but also make sure it was true to the Talking Heads vibe\, I would run ideas past Frantz and Weymouth via text.” \nWebsite: www.talkingdreads.com \n  \n \n  \n  \n \nFormed in Albany\, the capital of New York\, Dr. Jah and the Love Prophets have been making music together since the early 1990s. The band consists of a talented group of musicians who share a deep passion for reggae and its positive\, transformative power. \nThe band’s music serves as a vehicle for spreading messages of peace\, unity\, and spiritual awakening\, and their performances are known for their infectious energy and uplifting vibes. While rooted in reggae\, Dr. Jah and the Love Prophets incorporate a diverse range of musical influences into their sound. Drawing inspiration from genres such as jamband music\, psychedelic music\, and ska\, they create a fusion that is uniquely their own. Their ability to seamlessly blend different styles and rhythms keeps their music fresh and exciting\, attracting a wide range of listeners. \nWith their dedication to creating an immersive live experience\, Dr. Jah and the Love Prophets continually push boundaries and experiment with their performances. No two shows are ever the same\, as the band loves to improvise and feed off the energy of the crowd. Their concerts are a celebration of love\, freedom\, and connection\, where people come together to dance\, sing\, and feel the positive vibrations. \nThroughout their career\, Dr. Jah and the Love Prophets have remained true to their values and used their platform to advocate for change. They are not only entertainers but also activists\, using their music as a tool to raise awareness and challenge the status quo. Their commitment to speaking truth to power has earned them a reputation as a band that stands up for what they believe in. \nDr. Jah and the Love Prophets have left an indelible mark on the Albany reggae scene and beyond. Their timeless music\, infectious energy\, and unwavering dedication to spreading love and positivity have made them beloved by fans far and wide. Whether on stage or in the studio\, they continue to create music that resonates deeply with listeners\, reminding us all of the power of music to inspire\, heal\, and unite. \nWebsite: www.drjah.com \n  \n \n  \nReturn to Calendar \n

SUMMARY:Daniel Donato's Cosmic Country
DESCRIPTION:Doors: 7:00pm\nShow: 8:00pm \nAges: 18+ \nTickets: $30 Advance / $35 Day of Show \n** Click Here to Purchase Tickets ** \nOn Sale Friday\, June 27 @ 10:00AM \n  \nDaniel Donato’s philosophic approach to playing music is simply stated\, if hardly simple to achieve. \n“It occurs to me that music is actually a form of service\,” explains the Nashville raised singer\, songwriter\, guitarist and bandleader\, who’s adopted Cosmic Country as both a group name and as the moniker for his ambitious stylistic alchemy. “You can make a living of it and do beautiful things with your life\, but music is really a service to bring truth into people’s lives — if that’s something you’re interested in doing.” \nDonato has proven very interested\, and extremely adept\, at serving that higher calling with his music during the past six years of recording — including the new Horizons\, his third studio album and second full set of all-original material. It’s another dynamic 15-song set that features Donato and his compatriots in Cosmic Country traipsing through a wealth of American music\, picking like bluegrass virtuosos one minute\, cranking out rock riffs the next and then steering into otherworldly — yes\, cosmic — jam spaces. Co-produced with Vance Powell\, who also worked on 2023’s reputation-establishing Reflector\, it’s a testament to the reverence\, curiosity and fearlessness that fuels Donato’s creative ambitions as both student and acolyte. \n“The degree to which you respond to the call to adventure equals the degree to which you’re willing to sacrifice and admit that you don’t truly know everything that goes on\,” he explains\, “and that you’re willing to find out there’s more to know.” \nBorn in New Jersey and moving to Nashville with his family when he was seven years old\, Donato’s fascination with music was stoked by his father\, who filled his son’s ears with legendary music of all genres and generations. (Though Donato’s mother gets credit for being a Deadhead\, who instilled that sensibility via DNA.) The Guitar Hero video game allowed him to fixate on rock\, as well as the identity he was craving in his youth. “I was a strange kid\,” Donato acknowledges. “I really didn’t have any friends that got me\, but the guitar understood me\, and I had a vision for what my life could be.” \nAt his father’s suggestion Donato began busking on the streets of Nashville’s lower Broadway are at the age of 14\, which led to an invitation to play with the local Don Kelly Band at clubs such as Legend’s Corner and especially Robert’s Western World. Strapping on a Fender Telecaster\, Donato “played country songs and fell in love with it\,” adding traditional bluegrass to the mix as well. By the time a Sturgill Simpson concert at Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium during 2015 inspired him to plot his own course\, Donato was knitting together a stylistic synthesis that made his music sound like everything\, but also like nothing we’ve ever heard before. \n“When I first started playing music I kinda had this fervor I wasn’t able to understand\,” Donato recalls. “There was some sort of a driving force that was pushing me northward to keep pushing and keep doing and keep inventing myself (by) either practicing more or writing more\, playing more. I didn’t know why that’s what I was doing. I feel like it chose me.” \nThe Starlight EP in 2019 gave the world its first taste of Donato’s vision\, followed by A Young Man’s Country in 2020\, Cosmic Country & Western Songs the follow year and then Reflector. The stage is as essential to him as the studio\, however. To see Donato’s Cosmic Country\, with bassist William “Mustang” McGee\, keyboardist Nathanael “Sugarleg” Aronowitz and new drummer William “Bronco” Clark\, live is an experience akin to a revival\, true believers working without boundaries and without a net\, letting their chops run wild but not undisciplined as the group builds to one ecstatic crescendo after another. It covers a lot of ground\, too\, from the playful frenzy of Bill Monroe & His Blue Grass Boys to the earthy expansiveness of the Allman Brothers Band and the psychedelic voyages of the Dead. \nThe stage is also where Daniel Donato’s Cosmic Country\, in collaboration with his audience\, finds the proper path for its music. Everything\, including the material on Horizons\, is played live before it’s recorded\, so that the version we hear on record is the sum of a great many parts developed over months or even years. \n“Our community really changes the songs\,” he explains\, “just by us playing them and (the fans) being able to partake in the same room as us as when we’re playing the song. We’ve played every song on this record live dozens upon dozens\, sometimes 50 times live\, before we recorded them…in rooms filled with humans…so they can feel human before we bring them into the studio. When you bring it to people\, it changes. It truly does. They help us provide a curvature for the song and really influence how they go before we ever hit the red light in the studio.” \nDonato “strategically set a lot of limits” during the process of making Horizons in Nashville’s Sputnik Sound studio\, using his brothers in Cosmic Country as well as friends such as Lillie Mae Rische on fiddle and Brett Resnick on pedal steel. “We wouldn’t let ourselves cut a song more than five times\,” Donato notes\, “and we wouldn’t allow ourselves more than 30 minutes to kind of work on any overdubs or anything.” There’s an arc to Horizons as well; it leans hard into country at the start on high-octane drivers such as “Blame the Train\,” “Sunshine in the Rain\,” “Yonder” and “Broadside Ballad\,” as well as more measured\, gentle and melody-focused fare like “Better Deal Blues” and “Along the Trail.” \nThe instrumental “Hangman’s Reel” serves as a gateway into Horizons further expanses\, whether it’s the funky underpinnings in “Prairie Spin” and the joyous “Valhalla” or\, especially\, stretched-out pieces such as “Chore” and the album-closing “Down Bedford” — weighing in at more than 11 and almost 10 minutes\, respectively — where the Cosmic Country crew delivers arrangements carefully constructed from the improvisations of scores of previous live performances. \n“Part of the Cosmic Country mission statement is to try to take the living truth of country music and storytelling and tie that with moments of improvisation\,” Donato explains. “I feel like moments on ‘Chore’ and on ‘Down Bedford’ really start cracking in on that.” \nLyrically\, meanwhile\, Donato wanted “to lean into what’s most human and transparent about producing anything right now.” The result is a group of songs that are about nothing less than the finding meaning in the human experience\, drawing inspiration from biblical [or philosophical? – y’all’s choice] parables to hone his intended messages. “I wanted the lyrics to be easy to understand\, not abstract\,” he says. “There are many layers to the meanings and you think about it\, but it’s not rocket science to understand them. Trying to maintain a human sound and faith in what humans can do really inform the actual sonics and production of the record\, too.” \nAmidst all that\, however\, the tenants of Cosmic Country remain strong and true throughout Horizons — accomplished musicianship\, enveloping and not always conventional harmonies\, and an element of truth in expression that elevates music beyond any style or genre designations. \n“I want there to be a Cosmic Country sound where you can hear it right away\, you can hear the first eight bars of any song and say\, ‘That’s it!’” says Donato\, who\, as you read this\, is already working on a second volume of Cosmic Country & Western Songs. “Some of it is technical\, like using the same microphones and the same studio as the last record. And some of it’s just in the way we approach it — and that’s something we get better at every time.” \n  \nWebsite www.danieldonato.com \n  \n \n  \nReturn to Calendar

SUMMARY:Neon Avenue
DESCRIPTION:Doors: 7:00pm\nShow: 8:30pm \nAges: 18+ \nTickets: $20 \n** Click Here to Purchase Tickets ** \n\n  \nBorn from the depths of the 2020 Pandemic\, this group of Capital Region musicians came together for what felt like necessity.
