When the world went into isolation\, this group of Saratoga Springs High School graduates—then just 15 and 16-year-old friends—refused to give in to disillusionment. Instead\, they picked up instruments\, took those proverbial lemons\, and made “Melonade”. What started as a way to pass the time quickly became an integral part of their lives\, and by June 2021\, Melon played its first live show\, capitalizing on a shared desire to abandon isolation and embrace the collective joy of live music. \nIn September 2021\, the band hosted its first standalone concert: “Melon Mash”. The community turnout was so electric that multiple “Mashes” followed\, interspersed with gigs at local venues\, private parties\, and charity events.
